Schwarzenegger
dismisses questions on 'issues'
California
Governor candidate, Arnold Schwarzenegger, has angrily brushed
aside questions about 'real issues' at a press conference. Speaking
yesterday, Schwarzenegger said: 'That's not what this campaign
is about'. Schwarzenegger has been pressed in recent days to
reveal his views on a plethora of topics important to State
politics, but he has refused to take a stance on a single one
as of yet on the grounds that it might violate his Fifth Amendment
constitutional rights not to incriminate himself.
Many
reporters have allegedly been intimidated by Schwarzenegger's
physique, which he flexes vigorously whenever they ask difficult
questions about the state's bankruptcy or it's deteriorating
environment. Journalists are quick to add that The Govenegger,
as he has come to be known, has been extremely helpful in answering
a wide range of different questions about nutrition and body-building.
A
spokesman briefly mentioned an election manifesto in a press
conference after the Jay Leno Show, where Mr Schwarzenegger
announced his intention to run for office, but he then added
that its publication may be postponed until after the result
is known in November. He said that Mr Schwarzenegger would decide
what his policies were then, but all he could say for the time
being was that the policies would be 'somewhat Republican'.
