Ecowarrior
pulled the plug on US and Canada
President
Bush has revealed that electrical blackouts, which affected
areas of the North East and Midwest of the USA, and parts of
Canada, were caused by ‘eco-terrorist’ Isla Romany.
Calling Ms Romany ‘little better than Osama bin Laden’
the President vowed to see that she ‘spent a long time
in a dark cell to contemplate the misery she’d brought
to so many hard working Americans.’
It
is understood that Ms Romany flicked the switch at the Niagara
power plant in order to ‘get some peace and quiet, and
to see the stars for the first time’. Canadian Prime Minister
Jean Chretien disputed the need to treat Ms Romany as a terrorist,
despite the fact that she is a US citizen. Speaking to reporters
from Ottowa, Mr Chretien said: ‘Look, it’s really
not so bad having no power. Up here in Canada we’ve got
used to it. In fact there’s times when I forget to put
the light on at home and end up bumping into the furniture.
You get used to it.’
Despite
the power supply being returned to all affected areas, it has
been reported that some Canadians have always had trouble converting
from candlelight, and their love of moose baiting and bear wrestling
has been rekindled, so the blackout was no big deal.
